Christoph Menke

Christoph Menke (born 1958) is a German philosopher. He studied philosophy and German at the universities of Heidelberg and Konstanz, received his doctorate in Konstanz in 1987, and completed his habilitation in Berlin in 1995. From 1997 to 1999, he was an associate professor at the New School for Social Research in New York. He then taught philosophy, with a focus on ethics and aesthetics, at the University of Potsdam from 1999 to 2008. From 2009 onward, he was a professor of philosophy at Goethe University Frankfurt. His areas of work include political philosophy, legal philosophy, and aesthetics.
