Christof Weigold

Christof Weigold was born in Mannheim in 1966. He wrote plays and was a staff writer for the television program »Harald Schmidt Show« from 1996 to 1999, also appearing in front of the camera. From 2000 onward, he worked as a freelance screenwriter for film and television. In 2018, he published »Der Mann, der nicht mitspielt«, the first novel in a series featuring private detective Hardy Engel. The crime debut received the Mordsharz Festival award and was nominated for the Glauser Prize. It was followed by »Der blutrote Teppich«, »Die letzte Geliebte« and »Der böse Vater«. His novel »Das brennende Gewissen« introduced forensic profiler Felix Petry.
