Christine Weder

Christine Weder (born 1974) is a German literary scholar. She studied German, philosophy and religious studies in Zurich, Tübingen and Cambridge and completed her habilitation at the University of Basel in 2015. Her publications include “Erschriebene Dinge. Fetisch, Amulett, Talisman um 1800” (2007), “Intime Beziehungen. Ästhetik und Theorien der Sexualität um 1968” and “Die Schlaraffenlandkarte um 1700. Geografie und Ökonomie einer multimedialen Fantasie”. She has also edited, among other volumes, “Luxus”, “Literaturbetrieb” and “Auszeiten”. Her research and publications address authors including Lessing, Sophie von La Roche, Novalis, E. T. A. Hoffmann, Robert Walser, Ingeborg Bachmann and Max Frisch.
