Christiane Quandt (born 1982 in Cologne) studied translation at the FTSK of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and worked at Freie Universität Berlin’s Institute for Latin American Studies until 2015. She translated poetry and prose from Spanish and Portuguese, including works by Andrea Abreu, Roberto Bolaño, Ricardo Lísias, Alana S. Portero, and Layla Martínez. Her book translations include Andrea Abreu’s “So Fierce, So Fearless” and Lucero Alanís’s “The Daisy Convent.” Her poetry debut, “auf dem zauberberg ist kein platz mehr für alle,” was published in 2023. With Julio Prieto, she edited the essay collection “Gedichte voll von Welt.”
