Christiane F.

Christiane V. Felscherinow was born in Hamburg in 1962 and moved with her family to West Berlin at the age of six. As a teenager, she became addicted to heroin and engaged in prostitution. In the late 1970s, journalists Kai Hermann and Horst Rieck portrayed her in a series for the magazine Stern. The series led to the autobiographical book »Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo«, which became an international success and established Christiane F. as an author and public figure.
