Christian von Ditfurth (born 1953) worked as a historian and published historical and politically themed novels as well as crime fiction as a freelance author. His novels include “Die Mauer steht am Rhein. Deutschland nach dem Sieg des Sozialismus” (1999), “Der 21. Juli” (2001), “Der Consul” (2003), and “Das Luxemburg-Komplott” (2005). He also became known for the Stachelmann crime novels “Mann ohne Makel” (2002), “Mit Blindheit geschlagen” (2004), “Schatten des Wahns” (2006), and “Lüge eines Lebens” (2007).
