Christian Habekost

Christian “Chako” Habekost was born and raised in Mannheim, Germany. He studied in Mannheim, London and Kingston, Jamaica, and worked as a comedian, cabaret performer and calypso singer. His solo programs focused, among other subjects, on the Palatine dialect. Television appearances, including on »Ottis Schlachthof«, brought him recognition beyond the region. Habekost published numerous books and co-authored the Palatine crime series »Elwenfels« with his wife.
