Christa Ebert

Christa Ebert was born in 1947. After studying Slavic and Romance studies at Humboldt University of Berlin, she became a research associate at the Academy of Sciences of the GDR in Berlin in 1970 and earned her doctorate in 1977. From 1992 to 2012, she was Professor of Literary Studies at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder). She published numerous works on modern Russian literature, gender issues in literature, and Russian culture.
