Chris Harding Thornton

Chris Harding Thornton is a writer and a seventh-generation Nebraskan. She earned an MFA from the University of Washington and a PhD from the University of Nebraska, where she taught writing and literature. Before becoming a writer, she worked as a quality-control officer at a condom factory, a glass-lid assembler at a plastics factory, a Burger King closer, a record-store clerk, an all-ages club manager, and a PR writer. Pickard County Atlas was her first novel.
