Chris Carter

Chris Carter was born in Brazil in 1965 to Italian immigrant parents. He studied forensic psychology in Michigan and worked for six years as a criminal psychologist on a prosecutor’s office team. He then pursued a career as a musician in Los Angeles before turning to thriller writing. His debut novel, *The Crucifix Killer*, launched the series featuring profiler Robert Hunter and Carlos Garcia.
