Chip Zdarsky

Chip Zdarsky is the pseudonym of Steve Murray, a Canadian comic-book writer, artist, illustrator, journalist, and designer born in 1975. Murray worked for more than a decade as a cartoonist and humorist for the National Post and other publications before developing the Chip Zdarsky persona. Together with Matt Fraction, he co-created the series Sex Criminals, which earned him an Eisner Award in 2014. He received another Eisner Award in 2019 for a story he wrote and drew in Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man. As a writer, Zdarsky has worked on titles including Howard the Duck, Star-Lord, Daredevil, and Batman; his independent work includes Kaptara, Stillwater, and The Silver Coin.
