Charmaine Wilkerson

Charmaine Wilkerson is an American writer. She spent much of her childhood in the Caribbean and worked as a television news reporter and journalist. She also wrote award-winning short stories and ran marathons. Her debut novel, *Black Cake*, became an international bestseller and was adapted as a television series in 2023.
