Charles Burns

Charles Burns was born in Washington, D.C., in 1955. He is an American comics artist known for atmospheric drawings marked by strong black-and-white contrasts. In addition to creating comics and illustrations for The New Yorker and Rolling Stone, he also designed stage sets and album covers.
