Chantal Mouffe

Chantal Mouffe is Professor Emerita of Political Theory at the University of Westminster. She taught and conducted research at universities in Europe, North America, and South America, and is a corresponding member of the Collège International de Philosophie in Paris. Together with the Argentine political scientist Ernesto Laclau, she co-authored “Hegemony and Radical Democracy,” a foundational work of post-Marxism. Mouffe further developed her concept of agonistic politics in works including “On the Political.”
