Catherine Chanter

Catherine Chanter grew up in the rural south-west of England and studied in Oxford. She worked as a teacher and with young people affected by mental illness. Alongside this work, she wrote for Radio 4 and published short stories and poetry, which earned her several awards. Her debut novel, Die Quelle, received numerous prizes and was published in more than 20 countries.
