Caroline Sommerfeld

Caroline Sommerfeld (born 1975) is a German philosopher, publicist, and essayist. She studied German and philosophy in Rostock and earned a doctorate with a dissertation on the ethics of Immanuel Kant, published under the title »Wie moralisch werden? Kants moralistische Ethik«. She received the Karl Alber Prize for this work in 2004. In 2017, she co-authored the book »Mit Linken leben« with Martin Lichtmesz. Her essays have also appeared in the anthology »Nationalmasochismus«.
