Caroline Fink

Caroline Fink (born 1977) studied sociology, journalism and modern German literature at the University of Zurich, completing her degree in 2004 with a thesis on culture and democracy. From 2007, she worked as a freelance writer and photographer for German-language newspapers and magazines, including the Neue Zürcher Zeitung and Schweizer Familie. She also wrote books, made documentary films and worked as a moderator. Her work focuses on mountains, mountaineering and travel. She took up climbing, mountaineering and ski touring during her studies; in the Valais, she climbed her first 4,000-metre peak, the Pollux. Her publications include the photography book *Silence* (2018).
