Carl Safina

Carl Safina is an ecologist, marine biologist, and nature writer. He has written seven books, including the international bestseller “Song for the Blue Ocean” and “Becoming Wild: How Animal Cultures Raise Families, Create Beauty, and Achieve Peace.” His work has received numerous awards. Safina was the founding director of the Blue Ocean Institute and held an endowed professorship in nature and humanity at Stony Brook University in New York.
