C. S. Forester

C. S. Forester (Cecil Scott Forester) was born in Cairo in 1899. He initially studied medicine in England but soon turned to literature. He became best known for his sea adventure novels featuring Horatio Hornblower. During the Second World War, Forester went to Hollywood. He died in 1966.
