Bruno Jelovic was born in Travnik, Bosnia, in 1989 and fled to Switzerland with his parents during the Balkan War. He worked there as a fitness coach. In 2018, he founded the “Save the Dogs BIH” project to support stray dogs. His book The Dog Protector reached number one on the SPIEGEL bestseller list and received the LovelyBooks Community Award in 2025.
