Brothers Grimm

The Brothers Grimm, Jacob Grimm (1785–1863) and Wilhelm Grimm (1786–1859), were German scholars of Germanic studies and collectors of legends and fairy tales. They compiled more than 200 stories, published as “Children’s and Household Tales.” The collection includes such well-known tales as “Cinderella,” “Snow White,” and “Rapunzel.” It is among the world’s most famous fairy-tale collections and has influenced generations of writers, composers, artists, researchers, and filmmakers.
