Britta Benke

Britta Benke studied art history, classical archaeology and Romance studies. After completing her studies, she wrote her first art book about the American painter Georgia O’Keeffe and was the first non-American author to write about her. Benke worked as an art education lecturer for schools, museums and foundations, developing programs for children. For the series “Children Discover Art,” she created her first art books specifically for young readers.
