Bokyeong Sunim

Bokyeong Sunim was ordained as a Buddhist monk at Songgwangsa, one of South Korea’s historic temples. He spent more than a decade at Beopryeonsa Temple in Seoul. He earned a doctorate from Dongguk University Graduate School, where he also worked as a lecturer. He became internationally known for books about life with his cat. His work also focused on a humanistic interpretation of Buddhism.
