Bodo Primus

Bodo Primus (born in 1938) trained as an actor at the Folkwang School in Essen and subsequently performed at various German theatres, including those in Münster, Essen, Cologne and at the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus. From 1962 onward, he worked freelance in radio and television, primarily as a radio-play, recital, feature and voice actor, as well as on television documentaries. He became known, among other roles, as Detective Jonas in the Bayerischer Rundfunk radio-play series The Last Detective. In 2006, he received the German Audiobook Prize for his reading of Edgar Hilsenrath’s The Nazi and the Barber.
