Bernardo P. Carvalho (born 1973) studied communication design and fine arts in Lisbon. During his studies, he became more interested in a drawing course than in his main subject, which led him to pursue a career as an illustrator. He was a co-founder of the Portuguese children’s publisher Planeta Tangerina. His books have been published in more than 25 countries, and his illustrations and books have received several awards.
