Benji Davies (born 1980) is from Peterborough, UK, and studied animation. During his studies, he created short films, music videos and picture books. He worked as an author, illustrator and film director, and his books have been translated into numerous languages. In 2015, he received the AOI Illustration Award for his picture book *Grandpa’s Island*. His other work includes *Nick and the Sea* and illustrations for Adam Baron’s children’s books *Free Swimming* and *Coming Up for Air*.
