Benjamin Moser, born in 1976 in Houston, Texas, earned a doctorate at Utrecht University. He contributed to Harper’s Magazine and The New York Review of Books. He is known, among other works, for his biography of the Brazilian writer Clarice Lispector and for editing a new English translation of her collected works for the U.S. publisher New Directions. In 2020, he won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography for his biography of the American philosopher and writer Susan Sontag.
