Beatrix Gerstberger

Beatrix Gerstberger, born in 1964, is an author who worked as a freelance journalist for the magazines Brigitte, Stern and Geo. She became known for the SPIEGEL bestseller Keine Zeit zum Abschiednehmen, about the early death of her partner and the experiences of other young widows. She lived for several months in a fishing village in Maine, an experience that inspired her novels Die Hummerfrauen and Hummerjahre.
