Baukowski is a writer whose greatest successes came in the 1980s. He created a distinctive fictional universe with recurring characters such as a sexually disoriented weasel and the antisocial Udo. His stories are characterized by direct, often extreme language and dark humor, and deliberately move beyond established genre conventions.
