Barbara Rendtorff

Barbara Rendtorff, Dr. phil., studied education, sociology and history. She earned her doctorate in sociology and completed her habilitation in general education. From 2008 until July 2018, she was Professor of School Pedagogy with a focus on gender studies at Paderborn University. She subsequently worked as a senior professor at the Institute of General Education at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. Her academic work focuses on theories of gender and gender relations, as well as the transmission of gender images in the context of growing up.
