Barbara Peters

Barbara Peters was born in Hamburg, where she studied mathematics and computer science, graduating with a diploma. She initially worked at the University of Hamburg’s Institute of Marine Research. She later began writing plays and books for children. Her work includes picture books, early readers, children’s fiction, poetry, educational materials and plays for young audiences, published by various publishers. Peters also led children’s and youth theatre groups. An enthusiastic reader, she has a particular passion for sailing.
