Assaf Gavron

Assaf Gavron (born 1968) is an Israeli writer. He grew up in Jerusalem or in a village near the city and studied in London and Vancouver. Gavron has published several novels and a collection of short stories and has received awards including the Bernstein Prize and the Prix Courrier. Alongside his literary work, he translated Jonathan Safran Foer and J. D. Salinger into Hebrew. He was also a singer and songwriter with the Israeli band “The Mouth and Foot” and helped develop the computer game “Peacemaker,” which simulates the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
