Arne Dahl is the pseudonym of Swedish writer and literary critic Jan Arnald, who was born in 1963. Arnald studied literature and worked, among other roles, for the Swedish Academy. He became known for his crime series about the Stockholm A-team, which was translated into numerous languages. His other series include the thriller quartet about the Opcop group and the books featuring the investigative duo Berger & Blom. In 2024, »Stummer Schrei« launched a series featuring investigator Eva Nyman. Dahl received several awards, including the Ripper Award, which he shared with Simon Beckett in 2018.
