Anton Ohorn

Anton Joseph Ohorn was a teacher, poet, and writer. After attending the grammar school in Böhmisch-Leipa, he entered the Premonstratensian canon monastery in Tepl, where he was ordained a priest. With permission from his order, he studied theology, history, and German studies in Prague for five years and received a doctorate in philosophy. He later converted to Protestantism. He subsequently taught German and literary history at the Technical State Educational Institutions in Chemnitz, where he was awarded the title of professor. On his 60th birthday, the city of Chemnitz made him an honorary citizen.
