Antke Engel, PhD, has worked through visiting professorships and as a freelancer in academia, cultural production, and political and cultural education. Engel headed the Institute for Queer Theory (iQt) in Berlin. Their research, teaching, publications, and advisory work have addressed queer theory, political philosophy, critique of representation, visual culture, queerversity, desire, and transversal justice.
