Antje Ravic Strubel

Antje Rávik Strubel was born in Potsdam in 1974 and grew up in Ludwigsfelde. After training as a bookseller, she studied American studies, literary studies and psychology in Potsdam and New York. She has published novels since 2001, including *Unter Schnee*, *Tupolew 134*, *Kältere Schichten der Luft*, *Sturz der Tage in die Nacht* and *Blaue Frau*, as well as the episodic novel *In den Wäldern des menschlichen Herzens*. Her work has received several awards, including the Hermann Hesse Prize, the Rheingau Literature Prize and the Prize of the Literature Houses in 2019. *Blaue Frau* won the German Book Prize in 2021. She also translated literature from English and Swedish, including works by Joan Didion, Lucia Berlin, Monika Fagerholm and Virginia Woolf.
