Anne Jacobs previously published historical novels and exotic sagas under another name. She achieved her breakthrough with the family saga »Die Tuchvilla«, set against the backdrop of recent German history, which became a bestseller. This was followed by the »Das Gutshaus« trilogy and the »Der Dorfladen« saga. Jacobs is one of the most widely read German-language authors of her generation, and her novels have also gained an international readership.
