Anna Werner

Anna Werner was born in 1963 and grew up as an ethnic German from Russia in Siberia, Kyrgyzstan, and Estonia. She moved to Germany in 1979. Her professional experience includes work in a plastics factory and a bookbinding shop; she also trained as a cosmetician and ran her own cosmetics studio. In addition, she worked at a theater for around 15 years. She married in 1984 and had four children. One of her books recounts the story of her child Yannic, who had a disability, and the first years following his death.
