Anna Enquist

Anna Enquist, born in Amsterdam in 1945, is a Dutch author. She grew up in Delft, studied piano at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and clinical psychology in Leiden. Enquist trained as a concert pianist and worked as a psychoanalyst. Beginning in 1991, she published poetry, novels and short stories. Her works were translated into 15 languages and received several international literary awards.
