Angelika Hesse, born in 1971, completed commercial training and initially worked in accounting and purchasing before spending many years as a personnel consultant. She later worked as a freelance author for various online and print media. Her publications include the humorous women’s novels “Meine Familie, der tägliche Wahnsinn und ich” and “Aus Liebe verzettelt,” published together as “Familie ist (k)ein Ponyhof,” as well as the young adult novel “Grüne Schnüre mit Apfelgeschmack.” After the birth of her first daughter, Hesse began writing about everyday family life, combining realistic and fictional elements. Her younger daughter’s enthusiasm for roller skating inspired her children’s series about Stella and the Rolling Angels.
