Andreas Reckwitz (born 1970) is a sociologist. His academic career includes positions at the University of Konstanz, the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), and Humboldt University of Berlin, where he teaches general sociology and cultural sociology. His research focuses on theories of (late) modernity, cultural theory, and cultural sociology. His book The Society of Singularities was published in 2017, received the Bavarian Book Prize, and was shortlisted for the 2018 Leipzig Book Fair Nonfiction Prize. In 2019, Reckwitz received the Leibniz Prize from the German Research Foundation.
