Andrea De Carlo

Andrea De Carlo, born in Milan in 1952, studied literature and subsequently spent extended periods in the United States and Australia. Before becoming a writer, he worked as a photographer and painter and was active as a rock musician. His first novel, *Creamtrain*, was published in 1981 and marked his breakthrough. In 1989 he published *Due di due* (*Zwei von zwei*), which became a cult book for a generation.
