Alanna Collen

Alanna Collen studied evolutionary biology and zoology and worked as a science writer. Her writing appeared in, among other places, the Sunday Times Magazine and the conservation initiative ARKive, and she appeared on BBC radio programmes and science magazines. She first explored the subject of microbes in her doctoral research. Her personal interest in the subject was also shaped by a tropical disease that required her to undergo long-term antibiotic treatment.
