Alain Claude Sulzer (born 1953) is a German-language writer. His novels include *A Perfect Waiter*, *Zur falschen Zeit*, *Aus den Fugen*, *Doppelleben*, and *Fast wie ein Bruder*. In 2008, *A Perfect Waiter* received France’s Prix Médicis étranger. His other honors include the Hermann Hesse Prize, the Basel Cultural Prize, and the Solothurn Literature Prize. His books have been translated into numerous languages.
