Aino-Maija Metsola

Aino-Maija Metsola is a Finnish artist and illustrator. From 2006, she worked with the Finnish design brand Marimekko, creating vivid patterns for clothing, tableware, paper, books, and toys. Her work combines different painting techniques. Her first book series, Learning Garden, comprises illustrated books about colors, numbers, animals, and words. The series has been translated into more than sixteen languages. Metsola’s work has been exhibited internationally.
