Adrian McKinty

Born in Belfast in 1968 and raised in Northern Ireland, Adrian McKinty studied philosophy at the University of Oxford and law at the University of Warwick. After moving to New York in the 1990s, he later worked in Denver in a variety of jobs, including bartender, security guard, rugby coach, bookseller and postman. He subsequently spent several years in Melbourne, Australia. McKinty has written numerous award-winning crime novels. He became particularly known for his series featuring Catholic police officer Sean Duffy, set in Belfast during the 1980s.
