Adam Jones

Adam Jones, born in London in 1950, studied at Oxford and worked as a teacher in Sierra Leone. He earned his doctorate in Birmingham and completed his habilitation at the Institute of Historical Ethnology at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. In 1995, he became Professor of African History and Culture at Leipzig University. He also served as editor of the journal History in Africa.
