Abubakar Adam Ibrahim (born in 1979 in Jos, northern Nigeria) is a Nigerian author and journalist. His reportage and short stories have received several awards and fellowships, including the BBC African Performance Prize and the Michael Elliot Award for Excellence in African Storytelling in 2018. In 2014, the Hay Festival included him among its selection of promising African writers under 40. His debut novel, “Season of Crimson Blossoms” (2015), was awarded the Nigerian Prize for Literature in 2016.
