Reviewed by LinneThe beginning of the book felt much slower-paced than the first book, but the second half more than made up for it. I really liked how the story took the time to show the uprising in the districts. I really want to know if Cinna is still alive. He’s one of my favourite characters, and I loved his act of rebellion through that dress. When he was attacked, I was just as shocked as Katniss, even though I probably should have seen it coming… I just kept thinking, Poor Cinna. He’s such a sweet soul. I also really liked Katniss’ confusion at the end. I didn’t fully understand the plan either until Haymitch explained it, so I was completely hooked throughout the whole Games. The ending of this book is much more open than the first one’s, and I still can’t decide whether I like that more or less. I’m just glad I already have the next book on hand so I can keep reading.
