It was like a cute romcom (and I love romcoms), I liked the plot but I really couldn’t connect with the characters. Their relationship didn’t feel genuine and the diversity of all the characters felt totally forced. For me it was like a movie you’d quite enjoy while watching but wouldn’t think about again and would probably never rewatch. I even read it in a day so it would actually feel like one day and it did, but it just didn’t fulfill my expectations

Second K.L walther book of the year. Let's get into it ┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ˚★⋆。˚ ⋆ ┊ ┊ ┊ ⋆ ┊ ┊ ★⋆ ┊ ◦ ★⋆ ┊ . ˚ ˚★.𖥔 ݁ ˖ִ ࣪⚝₊ ⊹˚ ⤷characters: At the start of this book, I REALLY didnt like isa. She felt too stuck up, too "perfect". I didnt really have an opinion on grace, I felt bad for Everett on his first chapter, and wasnt a huge fan of James. But as I read the book, I realised first appearances are not all they seem. As you read the book you learn that each character is struggling with something, and while Grace's may be more obvious than others, each of them struggle and deal with it in their own way. By the end of the book I was grateful to know and understanding each characters inner turmoil. I enjoyed the multi pov, despite many people who will dislike it for that. ⤷plot: this plot felt like a ferris beullers day off style, cheesy, clichéd American teenagers ditching school for a day of fun on senior year. Something i am envious from, being British. I loved the concept of the plot, however my main issue lied in the start. The pacing felt relatively slow and I struggled on the first 10-ish chapters. But after that point it seemed to flow better and I extremely enjoyed it. The concept of this book was amazing, and it ended up being really well executed.
